The Award
The National Association of Government Contractors is proud to recognize the best of America's small business government contractors with the NAGC Small Business Government Contractor of the Year Award. This special recognition of small businesses with fewer than 1000 employees is given annually to a single small business from the winners of five regional competitions. Small businesses currently or previously engaged in the procurement process within the past 24 months are encouraged to apply directly for the award, or they may be nominated by others.

Eligibility
To be eligible for consideration, the nominee must meet the following criteria:
  • Fewer than 1000 employees
  • Engaged in government procurement in the last 24 months
  • Able to attend award ceremony

Application Fee
  • $25 for NAGC Members
  • $125 for non-members (includes 6-month membership)

Criteria
Applicants will be judged on the following criteria:
  • Procurement history
  • Financial performance
  • Employee training
  • Business plan/strategy
  • Long-term business goals
  • Issue Advocacy

Judging Process
Nominations are due January 6, 2012 for the 2012 Award. Regional winners will be announced in March.

Presentation
